Subsequent to PhandTA 6, a special Workshop is planned with the aims:

to offer the opportunity of further discussions on topis of the conference
to perform extensive work on topics being currently of interest to the participants.

The Characterisation of Solid State Forms
Crystalline and amorphous forms: 
Hydrates, solvates, hydrochlorides, salts, molecular compounds, complexes, and polymorphs thereof
 
10:30 - 11:00 Break
  
11:00 - 12:30 Workshop II
Production Pathways from Dissolved Drug Substances into the Solid State Form
Crystallization, precipitation, freeze drying, spray drying, grinding
  
12:30 - 14:00 Buffet lunch and discussions about new instrumentations and new methods
  
14:00 - 15:30 Workshop III
Instruments and Methods
Simultaneous and coupled techniques (e.g. TG-DTA, TG-FTIR, TG-MS), Modulated DSC, Inversed Gaschromatography, spectroscopical methods, such as Raman-Microscopy, X-ray as function of temperature and atmosphere, ATR-IR

Scientific experts in the above given fields will be assigned as Chairwomen and Chairmen to each of the three Workshops. 

The Workshops will be organized as follows:

General introduction including discussion (ca. 30min)

Short statements by the participants with one to five overheads and discussion. 
    The statements and their order will be selected by the Chair.
